Frequently Asked Questions

How Does our tax return service Works?

1) Get in touch

We can help you with your income tax return wherever you are in New Zealand.

2) Complete a detailed questionnaire

We’ll ask you for all the relevant information we need to reduce your tax bill. You may find we ask more questions than other tax accountants, but that’s just so we can ensure you save as much money as possible.

3) Tax returns & paperwork completed

With the benefit of years of experience, we can complete your tax return, financial statements and all the necessary paperwork in double-quick time – saving you money. Plus we’ll make sure every allowable expense is claimed, to ensure your tax bill is as low as possible.

4) You check – we file – and it’s done!

You’ll check your tax return to make sure it’s accurate, and then we’ll file your tax return with the IRD. All done – now you can relax.

How much will it cost to prepare my end-of-year accounts?

Without knowing more about you and your financial business, its very hard to give you an accurate quote especially over the phone.

All our clients have different needs and require different services, our quote will reflect the level of service you require from us.

Once we have given you a quote, we hold firm to that quote for your first set of accounts, even if we have underquoted due to underestimating the work involved.
If any adjustment in cost is needed, we will discuss this with you firstly before proceeding with your work.

Our costs are fair and reasonable We also do not require any prior payment for your work, we will send you an invoice when the job is done.

What is the process involved in changing Accountants?

If you decide you want to change from your current Accountant to Clearview Biz, this is the process, and its not hard:

We will write to your previous Accountant on your behalf, seeking an ethical clearance from them to enable us to do your accounts.
Your previous Accountant will then send your records to us at Clearview Biz, unless you have outstanding fees with them, in which case they will release your records when they have been paid.

Why do I need to fill out the questionnaire every year?

At the end of each financial year, we require all clients to fill out and sign the questionnaire form.
This is to ensure that you include all the relevant information that we need to complete your financial statements as things may have changed over the year.

When the questionnaire is signed, it gives Clearview permission to work on your accounts which is a requirement by IRD and needs to be done on a yearly basis.

Unlimited Support?

You can call and email us as often as you like. You can also get in touch with us if you have a quick question.

Do I need Accounting Software?

We recommend Xero, and our add-on services require it. Bring your existing Xero subscription, or you can purchase one through us.
